Equipping those on long-term sick leave for working life
There are few examples, if any, of methods that have shown good employment statistics for those on long-term sick leave, despite considerable inclusive working life efforts from both the private and public sectors. Personal follow-up has yielded results when carried out by qualified personnel, but the solution is labour intensive and expensive.
Indigo is run as a centre, based on a further development of SYSLAB's group-based methodology for motivation and change. However, the target group is quite different in terms of both their legal status as persons on sick leave, and in relation to needs and measures.
The project's target group consists of:
- Those on long-term sick leave
- Those with repeated periods of sick-leave
Our method is based on individual training and motivation in heterogeneous groups. For nearly two decades we have developed techniques, methods and tools that result in the individual participant being able to return to suitable work in a relatively short time (less than six months).
Indigo's aim is for project participants to become better equipped, both professionally and psychologically, to master processes of change and crises at later stages in their working life. This applies to those returning to their original job, those who are redeployed and those beginning work with a new employer.
