Since the early 1990s, SYSLAB International AS has put considerable efforts into the establishment of new businesses, often based on technology or research.

In SYSLAB, some 20% of all newly created jobs have been demonstrated to stem from newly established enterprises, i.e. entrepreneurial activities. Early on, we established an entrepreneurial workshop for SYSLAB candidates, and several of the new enterprises founded there have gone on to become sustainable businesses that are still going strong several years on.

The SYSLAB Competence and Job Training Centre concept, in combination with the Start-up Centre, are the most important elements of the SPARK model. This value creation chain is schematically illustrated below. SPARK is realised and documented through a quality system that can be licensed to national and international promoters.
